Hello stampers! Wow! I can’t believe its been so long. I’m saddened to say that after almost two years with cancer, my senior dog, Missy passed last month. But she didn’t pass from the cancer, or her seizures for that matter, she went into renal failure. She fought through and overcame so much in the last few years from a chronic Lyme disease, a status epilepticus seizure, osteosarcoma in her front leg, a vestibular stroke, and finally her poor kidneys could no longer keep up the fight to clean her body. The last few months she became lame in the leg with the cancer, and needed help getting up. That last month she needed help walking, and even though we expected accidents, she never once dirtied her bed. She lived a good life, she was 14 years old. She lived 4 years longer than her biological brother, Dante. Now the two dogs in my logo are no longer with us. 🙁
Of course it has been a time of adjustment me and my family. We miss her dearly. We are now dealing with Ranger not quite understanding where she went and being upset with her absence. We have to be careful not to say her name, because Ranger’s ears perk up and he runs to the basement door looking for her. I think on some level he does understand that she’s passed on. Poor guy. Somehow I think he needs to be in my logo.
Needless to say I’ve had more time to craft and the crafting helps me cope.
Here’s what I’ve been doing… infatuated with butterflies lately…
I hope you like them!
Remember it’s Sale-A-Bration until March 31st! Free products with any order over $50!
Yep, I’m still around! I thought I would post some cards I’ve done in the last few months, I just haven’t had the time to get them up!
I didn’t get a chance to use the Perennial Birthday Project Kit during the Occasions Catalog. The good thing is that the Perennial Birthday Stamp set is in the current catalog. I just love this kit and the stamp set!
You haven’t seen me in awhile! I know. 🙁 My site was hacked and apparently was sending out phishing emails. I had been posting updates on my Facebook page. But not here because I wanted to be sure that everything was “clean” before I posted since I didn’t want my site to get shut down again!
You never think it will happen to you! There is a lot more work involved in hosting your own site than I ever imagined!
I’m still in the process of getting it all back up again, there are some images missing and bad page redirects. I don’t have the money to hire someone to fix this, so I am doing it myself. Boy what a learning curve! Probably when I’m done I can hire myself out as a WordPress designer.
The new catalog will be coming out June 1st. I am doing my best to get some samples created and will do a catalog reveal, but I still need to do a lot more work on this site…
Hope all is well with everyone that is still here with me!
I can’t believe Fall begins next week! Where does the time go? Before you know it Halloween will be here! Speaking of Halloween, here is my Happy Owl-O-Ween card. Its so nice to be able to use the DSP in this fashion. There are plenty of ways to use this particular sheet! That’s what I love about Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Papers, they are very versatile! Since they are double sided – double the ideas!
Hi Stampers! Did you ever buy a stamp set that that you just LOVE? That you don’t ever want to part with? I have a few of them and unfortunately this So in Love set has retired. ?
I used the Aqua Painters to color in the main focal point, the blooming flower…simple is usually my style. I hope you like it!
TIP: squish the top and bottom of your ink pad together. Open the ink pad and you have a small amount of ink on the inside of the top cover of the ink pad. You can use this ink to color your stamped image.
Once we hit Labor Day people start talking Fall. But it’s still Summer until September 22nd people!! Let’s not rush it!!
Here is a super cute card for an end of summer birthday! This card features the Cool Treats stamp set, available in the annual catalog. Thought I would try to keep the ice cream theme and used Sweet Sugarplum card stock and ink as well as Peakaboo Peach card stock. Too bad Stampin’ Up! retired Baked Brown Sugar ink!! Whaa!
The “frosting” you see on the ice cream bar is Dazzling Diamonds, and there’s also some Dazzling Diamonds dots on the background as well to make a card a little festive. It is a birthday card after all!

Holiday Catalog Spooky Treats
I’ve been spending some time in the “lab” working late at night. My electrodes got a jolt, ’cause the holiday party has just begun…
This is a mixed media piece, that I’m not sure I like, so I’ll be trying it again. Maybe a little lighter so you can actually see the graveyard just beyond the gate…
Spooky Graveyard Gate
