Hello my pretties! Today is a specially magical day! It is Vanessa's (A Fanciful Twist) Hauntingly Magical Celebration blog hop! Welcome newcomers!
I've been busy creating a bunch of Halloween projects, but I think that the Halloween Countdown is my best one this year. Those of you who subscribe to my newsletter got exclusive subscriber only project ideas!
I hope you can tell that had a lot of fun playing with some of my Halloween stamp sets! My dogs were wondering why I wasn't paying any attention to them! Missy would sit outside my craft room and let out these huge sighs every once in a while. Boy, I tell you they have such a ruff life!
Here are closeups of each section of the calendar:
I love that the Cast-a-Spell designer series double sided paper uses
the coolest of Halloween colors! Basic Black, Old Olive, Perfect Plum,
Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White. I used those very same colors for my
I've used From the Crypt, Batty for You, Tasty Sweet, Halloween Frights, Twick or Tweet and Graveyard Gala stamp sets, as well as Spooky Treats Rub-ons, all from Stampin' Up!
The pockets are using the exclusive Stampin' Up! Bitty Box & Envelope Bigz Xl die.
I used 1/4" Basic Black Grosgrain ribbon to tie the pages together.
For the hanger, I used Black Gingham ribbon. I punched all the holes using the Crop-A-Dile. On the top page the hanger ribbon goes through Jumbo Eyelets. These eyelets work perfectly with the Crop-A-Dile!
I purposely created irregular envelopes to give the piece a more haunted look.
All decorations are adhered to the pouches with Dimensionals.
If you're going to be putting "treats" in your pouches, be sure to adhere them using Sticky Strip.
I know, I know you're thinking Halloween is only 13 days away…but remember, this project can be altered for just about any holiday!

Thanks for stopping by! (If you stop by after Halloween, I'll have pics of my dead end cemetery on display…)
